RISD awarded $271,472 -JET Grant

Raymondville ISD was awarded the Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) Grant in the amount of $271,472.

This will help purchase and install equipment to provide 126 students in the manufacturing profession with training for welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers.

The JET grant program provides funding for equipment to eligible educational institutions for the purpose of developing career and technical education courses and may include courses offering dual-credit and technical education programs.

We also celebrated the Ribbon Cutting of the Welding and Mechanical Sciences building which is also part of the JET Grant.
