Raymondville ISD is a T.I.A. District

Raymondville Independent School District (RISD) has been awarded $274,883 through the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), marking a significant investment in teacher excellence and student success in the Rio Grande Valley.

The TIA, established under House Bill 3, aims to provide a pathway for exceptional teachers to earn higher salaries by recognizing their impact on student growth and instructional quality. Districts receive additional funding for each teacher designated as Recognized, Exemplary, or Master, with allotment amounts varying based on factors such as campus socioeconomic status and rural location.

Districts participating in the TIA are required to use at least 90% of the funds for teacher compensation on the campuses where the designated teachers work.

Raymondville ISD's allocates 100% of the designated funds to awarded teachers. This structure ensures that the majority of the funding directly benefits educators and supports efforts to recruit and retain top teaching talent.

RISD's participation in the TIA program underscores its commitment to recognizing and rewarding teacher excellence. By investing in its educators, the district aims to enhance student outcomes and foster a culture of high performance.
