Raymondville ISD is Upward Bound
Raymondville Early College High School students and their families were celebrated during the 2025 Upward Bound Science and Math Banquet, hosted in partnership with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). The event recognized students for their academic excellence, resilience, and commitment to pursuing postsecondary education.
Raymondville students participating in Upward Bound receive fundamental support in college preparation, academic tutoring, and exposure to college life and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Many of the students honored are the first in their families to pursue higher education and have demonstrated exceptional drive in overcoming barriers to reach their academic goals.
The banquet also recognized the vital role of parents and guardians, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in each student’s journey. The evening was filled with gratitude, encouragement, and celebration, as guest speakers, educators, and program leaders acknowledged the importance of community, family, and perseverance in student success.
Raymondville ISD leaders expressed pride in the achievements of their students and appreciation for the collaboration with UTRGV and the TRIO Upward Bound program. Together, they continue to empower students to dream big, achieve more, and transform their futures through education.
