Raymondville Roars: Victories and Spirit Shine Bright!

It was an exciting week for Raymondville ISD athletics!

Myra Green Middle School’s 7th grade Cross Country team raced to a 1st place finish in Rio Hondo, led by Jorleth Gonzalez in 1st, Alyssa Gonzales 7th, Adelicia Almanza 8th, Jorgie Arellano 10th, and Lilie Nieto 14th.

At Raymondville Early College High School, the Varsity LadyKats brought home a big district volleyball win on the road, while the Bearkats lit up the field with an electrifying 51–42 victory over the La Feria Lions—what a game of the week for our Kats!

Learning Comes Alive at Pittman and LC Smith

Pittman Elementary and LC Smith are buzzing with excitement as Bearkats tackle math, grow in confidence, and have fun with Bluebonnet Learning! From mastering similes and metaphors to practicing handwriting with an “alligator grip,” wrapping up mCLASS testing, and enjoying their first library visit, students are thriving every day. Fourth graders are honing their writing with sensory language, teaming up in reading groups, and mastering the vertical number line, while fifth graders shine in science labs and ace their mid-module math assessments. Attendance is soaring too—thank you, families, for helping your baby Bearkats show up, learn, and make magic happen!
